Meeting Seno Gumira Ajidarma, the 2019 Cultural Speech
Finally …. the awaited has been missed. I am very grateful to be able to return to watch the 2019 Cultural Speech live again. I was really excited from the start after knowing that the presenter of this year’s speech was Seno Gumira Ajidarma. Who doesn’t know him, right?
After the announcement on the IG of the Jakarta Arts Council, without thinking, I immediately went online to get tickets as soon as possible. And after getting the ticket, can’t wait for November 10, 2019 night.
That night, we went alone to Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM). Departing from the boarding house around 17.00 WIB and arrived at Maghrib. After Isya, then headed to the venue at Teater Besar. Finally got a seat on the second floor.
Prior to the main event, the 2019 Cultural Address was filled with performance art from the masses above. It’s a kind of street dance but there are theatrical acts, I don’t understand the meaning of what is important to just enjoy, heheh.
Before Pak Seno Gumira Ajidarma delivered his speech, the event was opened with a chat with the Acting Chairman of the DKJ, Danton Sihombing and Hikmat Darmawan as the DKJ Film Director. The concept is good, a kind of chat in a coffee shop and there is indeed a coffee shop in the corner. Exciting! The conversation between the two discussed about Seno Gumira and his works.
Enter us to the main event, the event that has been waiting for a year. Mr. SGA presented a speech entitled Culture in a Toothpick Wrap. He is very humble as he is often seen appearing with a simple appearance.
One of the main points of the speech delivered by Mr. Seno was teasing officials who often mentioned about 4.0, everything that is considered fast as the speed of technological development is the most advanced thing. But according to him, not always the fastest is the best.
“Speed doesn’t have to be an idol.” The quote that I remember most from Pak SGA’s speech.
The duration of the speech was not too long compared to the 2018 SembaHyang Buvana delivered by Mbak Saras Dewi. The event ends less than 10 pm.
After the event, we waited for Mr. SGA in the lobby of Teater Besar. Alhamdulillah, I got a photo together and his signature. I never thought I could meet my idol writer. heheh. Happinesseee.
